Tim is never happier than when he has a gavel in his hand or while cataloguing one of the many fantastic collections that we receive. A passionate man in all that he does, Tim has been a key figure in the growth of our specialist auctions over the last few years helping to establish Wessex Auction Rooms as one of the market leaders in numerous fields. Tim is an experienced auctioneer who is often asked to hold talks about his role within the industry as well as hosting charity auctions. You may recognise him as the co-presenter of BBC One’s Street Auction, or be familiar with his voice through the many radio stations to which he contributes. Tim is the newest expert to join BBC's Bargain Hunt and has filmed his first episodes to be aired in 2017. Tim used to be a good footballer but blames lifting heavy boxes of vinyls for cutting his career short.

After leaving school Phil gained a job as a game keeper which is where his love of country pursuits began. An experienced valuer who is also a trained actor, Phil has swapped treading the boards for treading the auction room. A real character that the staff love having as part of the team, although this is mainly because he brings his dog, Marley, to work with him. Phil has a keen eye for 20th Century decorative arts, paintings and all things rural.
